Four years without you. Unfathomable. I miss your presence in my life. You are still with me in many ways, but it’s the lack of your presence - the tender rasp in your resonant voice, your frustratingly accurate insights, your animated eyebrows, your expressive hands - that I will never get used to. You would be very discontented with the state of the world. I carry you in my heart to the protests which have become a regular activity. Similar to the protests we went to together in recent years, but more urgent this time. The future is uncertain. I know you would say to fight on. I will, but it won’t be as easy without you. I met your second cousin, Callanhan Patrick. What an absolute cutie pie! You would be over the moon! I miss your love of Christmas and checking the Christmas countdown app with you.
